The Resource Management Licensing Regulations require businesses working in the Resource sector to register with the Environment Agency for an IPPC permit or a Resource management licence that authorises the keeping, treatment or disposal of controlled Resource, or apply for an exemption.
Under Duty of Care, businesses producing, carrying, storing or treating Resource must meet guidelines to ensure that Resource management facilities do not pollute the environment, cause harm to human health or serious detriment to local amenities.
The legislative basis is provided in Part II of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Resource management licensing regulations 1994, and a number of associated regulations.
Bywaters is a licensed Resource carrier and Resource manager and holds Environmental Agency licences for both of its sites within the east London area.
